Getting Married in Denmark was created in 2014, by the British / Danish Couple Mana & Rasmus. Based on their own experience when they got married in Denmark.
Since then GMID has expanded to a diverse team from 3 different continents and 11 different countries who all reside in the EU and UK.
We understand exactly what it means to be in an international and intercultural relationship, and the challenging bureaucracy that comes with that.

Danish boy meets British girl, one thing led to another, and after a whirlwind romance, we (Mana and Rasmus) decided to get married in Denmark.
We experienced the process of getting married in Denmark, and all that is involved. We learned how important it is to have the support and inspiration to help you prepare for that special day. So we started an online wedding magazine to inspire couples who wanted a special touch to their celebration.

Mo is Egyptian and Johanna is German, and they both live in Germany. Mo and Johanna had faced so many difficulties with the bureaucratic processes in both Germany and Egypt. Jo even thought they may never be able to get married. But then they heard about Denmark!
Jo told us after the wedding: “Your service was the best choice to avoid more stress and I am so happy to have trusted your expertise 🙏. Not only are we now officially married, but I was finally able to also enjoy the wedding planning and wedding day and focus on the good and exciting aspects of it.

A German couple, Irina and Nils, listened to their hearts and did their wedding their way.
Their elopement to Denmark resulted in the most beautiful, intimate and incredibly personal wedding day:

Originally, we had planned a big wedding in Germany. But the more we planned, the more we realized that it slowly started to reflect the expectations of others rather than what truly felt right for us. In the end, we decided to celebrate this very special moment, just the two of us, so we could fully enjoy it in an intimate and meaningful way.
Choosing Copenhagen felt perfect for us. We both love traveling, and it is such a beautiful city that we had always wanted to visit. We truly couldn’t have imagined a more wonderful setting for our wedding day. And we were incredibly lucky with the weather, which made the day feel even more magical.

Kirstina and Mark, a Slovakian / British couple who reside in Croatia chose to get married in Copenhagen city hall after being together for 14 years. 😍
Thinking that nothing would change after getting married, Kristina admitted that actually it really did - that deep down it felt like they took their relationship to the next level and they are both incredibly proud to call each other husband and wife!
After their ceremony, they headed over to Nyhavn and celebrated with their loved ones with champagne and a meal out. The sun came out and their day was simply perfect.
They told us afterwards:
