It’s a city that is just over an hour away from Copenhagen via train, which makes it conveniently located for those couples flying into the capital. Odense is around 2 hours from the German border via train, making it equally as convenient for those couples travelling up from Germany.
Odense town hall holds weddings on most days of the week which makes it incredibly appealing for those who are hoping for a lot of choice in terms of when it’s possible to get married.
Odense town hall conducts weddings from Monday to Saturday, generally speaking from 9 am till noon.
Witnesses are provided by the town hall and at no extra cost on any day.

How To Get to Odense
Because Odense is literally located in the centre of Denmark, it will take you roughly the same amount of time to get there, whichever direction you are coming from, making it a great choice for couples coming via Copenhagen or from Germany.
If you choose to drive to Odense from Copenhagen, your journey will take you approximately 2 hours.
If you are driving to Odense from Germany, then it will take you approximately 2 hours from the German border town of Flensburg.
Alternatively, taking the train from Copenhagen the journey will take just over an hour via the fast train or around 1.5 hours if you catch the slightly slower train.
It will take around the same amount of time if you are taking the train from Flensburg, around 2 hours.
