§ Cancellation Policies

Personal Assistant Service

Cancellation – If for any reason you decide to cancel our service after choosing our Personal Assistant Service utilising our expertise to gain knowledge on documents required and receiving the documents list there can be no refund. If you choose to cancel your application with the Danish Administration, there can be no refund of 295 euros.
We do not pay nor are we liable for the administration fee for the Danish Administration. We are not liable for any behaviour or delays that the Danish administration cause.
With our Personal Assistant Service, we are there to help you with your application and understand the process but It is also your responsibility to read the information given by the Danish administration on their website regarding fees and other procedures before payment or signing.

Essential Service €745 and Priority Service €995

Cancellation – If for any reason you decide to cancel our service after appointing us as your power of attorney, utilising our expertise to gain knowledge on documents required and receiving the documents list we will still require full payment for our service. In exceptional circumstances such as death or illness we will refund but we kindly ask for the €217 we have paid on your behalf to to the Danish Administration as administration charges.

Apostille service €250

Cancellation – if you have requested to use our Apostle service and decide to cancel before the service is carried out. Full refund will be given.

Extra Documentation Requested by the Danish Administration

Sometimes the national unit may look at your case and decide extra documentation is required that is not usually stated. This is an extremely rare occurrence and cannot be foreseen by our company and advisers and we cannot be held accountable for any inconvenience caused.. In these cases we will endeavour to help you gain what is necessary in order to resolve any issues that arise

Interview with the Danish Administration

In order to reduce the chance of Pro Former weddings the Danish Administration have stated that if they have suspicion that a couple may be preforming a fraud marriage, they may ask them in for an interview before their wedding in Denmark. This will be a very small percentage of people coming to Denmark to get married and we hope to rarely have this occur. However, if you are called in to an interview and decide to cancel, we would still ask for our full service fee to be paid. Again, this will be only happy in extremely rare cases.


§ Payment Terms


Getting Married in Denmark ApS uses the 3rd party payment platform, Stripe, the Stripe API, and in conjunction, your Stripe account to process credit and debit card transactions.
By using the Stripe Check Out you agree to be bound by Stripe’s Terms of Service.
You expressly understand and agree that Getting Married in Denmark ApS shall not be liable for any payments and monetary transactions that occur through Your use of the Service. You expressly understand and agree that all payments and monetary transactions are handled by Stripe. You agree thatGetting Married in Denmark ApS shall not be liable for any issues regarding financial and monetary transactions between You and any other party, including Stripe.
You are responsible for all transactions (one-time payments and refunds) processed through the Service and/or Stripe. Getting Married in Denmark ApS is not liable for loss or damage from errant or invalid transactions processed with Your Stripe account. This includes transactions that were not processed due to a network communication error, or any other reason. If You process a transaction, it is Your responsibility to verify that the transaction was successfully processed.
You understand that Getting Married in Denmark ApS uses the Stripe API to run the Service and that the Stripe API is subject to change at any time and such changes may adversely affect the Service. You understand and agree to not holdGetting Married in Denmark ApS liable for any adverse affects that actions (whether intentional or unintentional) on the part of Stripe may cause to Your Stripe account, or Your business.
You must not process stolen credit cards, or unauthorized credit cards through Stripe.

Transaction Security

All transaction information passed between Getting Married in Denmark ApS and Stripe’s systems is encrypted using 256-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted. You can be completely assured that nothing we pass to Stripe’s servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.


§ Cancellation Policies for customers with weddings processed in 2018 (before the new marriage laws) 


Essential Service

Cancellation Policy Before Confirmation – If you cancel our service after we have processed your documents and before we have confirmation. We would kindly ask you to pay €150 for administration fee incurred. This amount covers the €150 fee that we pay on your behalf to the town hall when we process and our administration fees incurred.
Cancellation After Confirmation – Once we have confirmation your documentation has been accepted, our service is complete. This is when we ask for payment for our Essential Service. We’re still there to support you before your wedding and during your stay in Denmark. If you cancel after confirmation, you are not cancelling our services which has already been carried out. You would be cancelling your ceremony at the town hall and the Danish government are responsible for that part. We will still require payment for organising that appointment for you and the full fee for the Essential Service. This is the same case for the Priority Service of which there can be no refund after confirmation.

Priority Service

As we work so quickly when couples request the Priority Service, a refund is not possible. The only time a refund is possible is if we have made a mistake with your documents and your documents cannot be accepted because of an oversight. However, this has never happened, we do not ask for payment for the Priority Service, unless we are sure your documents will be accepted. This rule does not apply when the National unit asks for extra documentation. This can sometimes occur and it is not something we can foresee.
