Extra Documentation Requested by the Agency of Family Law

Sometimes the Agency of Family Law may look at your case and decide extra documentation is required that is not usually stated.

This is an extremely rare occurrence and cannot be foreseen by our company and advisers and we cannot be held accountable for any inconvenience caused.. In these cases we will endeavour to help you gain what is necessary in order to resolve any issues that arise

Interview with the Agency of Family Law

In order to reduce the chance of Pro Former weddings the Agency of Family Law have stated that if they have suspicion that a couple may be preforming a fraud marriage, they may ask them in for an interview before their wedding in Denmark.

This will be a very small percentage of people coming to Denmark to get married and we hope to rarely have this occur. However, if you are called in to an interview and decide to cancel, we would still ask for our full service fee to be paid. Again, this will be only happy in extremely rare cases.

Wedding Ceremony Town Hall

The Complete, Essential, Mayday Service offers to organise your documents and process your application as well as book your ceremony or guide you in the application and booking the ceremony depending on which service you’re using.

After this, your wedding ceremony is then carried out by the government, they are responsible for this day and this a service that they provide to you. For example, we do not co-ordinate and pay the registrar fee, organise the town hall members of staff.

The wedding ceremony at the town hall is not part of our service and the service fee you pay to us, does not cover any aspect of this.

For this reason, if you can’t attend this appointment with the town hall for any reason or decide to cancel for any reason, no refund can be made for the service and work already carried out by Getting Married in Denmark.

As part of our Complete Service, If you miss your appointment or need to reschedule, we will be happy to rebook for you within the validity period of your approval, without any further administrative fees.

If your validity period has run out and we need to reprocess your application, we would be carrying out the service again and would ask for the usual service fees to be paid in this case.

Covid – 19

The Agency of Family Law decided for couples who received an approval and can’t have their wedding in Denmark due to the restrictions in Denmark, (before the validity period of the approval ends) – they will reopen their application without asking couples to pay the admin fee again. This doesn’t apply if there are restrictions elsewhere that stop you from coming to Denmark.

As this is such an unexpected situation, Getting Married in Denmark have offered all our couples who were already our customers when this happened that we will work further in either reprocessing their application or any further administrative work caused by this situation free of charge. Even when the restrictions have been in a different country. Not including any further administration fees from Agency of Family Law.

For new customers aware of the situation taking our service, Getting Married in Denmark can repeat the same as above for restrictions in Denmark only. It is presumed that by taking the service you only continue at your own discretion and when you feel comfortable in doing so.
