Getting Married in Denmark was created in 2014, by the British / Danish Couple Mana & Rasmus. Based on their own experience when they got married in Denmark.
Since then GMID has expanded to a diverse team from 3 different continents and 11 different countries who all reside in the EU and UK.
We understand exactly what it means to be in an international and intercultural relationship, and the challenging bureaucracy that comes with that.

Danish boy meets British girl, one thing led to another, and after a whirlwind romance, we (Mana and Rasmus) decided to get married in Denmark.
We experienced the process of getting married in Denmark, and all that is involved. We learned how important it is to have the support and inspiration to help you prepare for that special day. So we started an online wedding magazine to inspire couples who wanted a special touch to their celebration.

It’s so important for couples to know that when you come to Denmark to get married, while it’s true - you are getting married in a foreign country - you can still firmly stamp your own style and personality onto your big day.
Our lovely Elizabeth and Sirona did just that. They brought their beloved dog; Purzel, chose clothes that reflected each of their personalities and wore the most fabulous shoes! 🤩

Even as an EU / EU couple, Ivana from Croatia and Lukas from Germany, trying to get married in their home countries was proving incredibly difficult. Then they heard about us from a dear friend who used us after experiencing a similar ordeal while trying to get married in their home countries.
They reached out to us at the end of October, and 3 weeks later their approval had been issued and their wedding date was booked.
They enjoyed their winter wedding in February and are now very happily married. Huge congratulations to you Ivana and Lukas - we have absolutely loved helping you with your wedding in Denmark and we all wish you all the love in the world for your lives together.
