What: Jazz at Tivoli

Where: Tivoli Gardens

When: Every Wednesday in August 

If you love Jazz and you’re going to be in the capital on a Wednesday evening between May and August, then this is a great opportunity for you to settle down and enjoy an evening of Jazz.

There will be a monthly ‘theme’ to the jazz performances and each jazz artist will be accompanied by the Tivoli ensemble and conductor Peter Jensen. Just imagine the scene, it’s the day before your wedding and a balmy summer’s eve, you have something fizzy in hand and find yourselves soaking up Denmark’s finest jazz acts. So romantic! 

Tickets are just the entry cost into Tivoli. 

What: Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix

Where: Copenhagen

When: 2nd – 64th August

This is not just any Grand Prix. This is a Historic Grand Prix… So what does that involve exactly? It involves old & classic cars at high speeds! This sees Danish and International drivers alike, coming to this fun and family friendly event to have a go, racing like they used to in ‘the good old days!’ If classic cars and high speeds are your thing, then check this out while you’re in the city. 

What: Copenhagen Summer Festival

Where: Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen

When: 4th – 15th August

A gorgeous festival held in Charlottenburg, Kongens Nytorv, that celebrates the country’s up and coming classical music talent. Rising classical stars play with already well known names to showcase how the music scene and talent within it evolves and changes and is sure to delight any classical music lovers among you. 

What: Copenhagen Pride Week

Where: Copenhagen

When: 10th August – 18th August 

Join people from all around the world as they come together to celebrate Copenhagen Pride Week. This is Copenhgen’s BIGGEST yearly event which takes place every year in August. It is a festival that is designed to educate, enlighten, include, share, welcome, and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.  Come with your heart open, a desire to learn, love & be loved AND your dancing shoes!

Please be aware: Copenhagen turns into one big celebration during this week and so it is definitely worth bearing in mind that the streets, the hotels, bars and restaurants will all be much busier than usual during this time. Please do book ahead in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

Just when you thought Copenhagen couldn’t get any better, she brings you a food festival! This is proudly touted as one of the largest food festivals in northern Europe and is one week filled to the brim with culinary delights. There are shows, events, lessons, exhibitions, demos, food stalls, workshops, and much much more! One not to be missed!
