Getting Married in Denmark was created in 2014, by the British / Danish Couple Mana & Rasmus. Based on their own experience when they got married in Denmark.
Since then GMID has expanded to a diverse team from 3 different continents and 11 different countries who all reside in the EU and UK.
We understand exactly what it means to be in an international and intercultural relationship, and the challenging bureaucracy that comes with that.

Considering getting married in Denmark and wondering what a Single Status Certificate even is?
It’s the document that proves you’re legally single. Denmark doesn’t need it so you`re in the clear!
However, there are a few very rare occasions where they can sometimes ask for a Single Status Certificate. IF this is necessary, it will be in combination with certain divorce papers to show that the divorce has become final.
That’s why we always say: know what you need — not what Google says everyone needs.

Short ceremony. Big feelings 💙
Fabienne and Vinh knew their Odense ceremony would be brief. What they didn`t expect? How heartfelt it would actually be.
"Everything went smoothly in Denmark and both of us couldn`t be happier. As expected, the ceremony was of course short, but it was actually a bit more heartfelt than I expected. The employees of the city hall were very friendly, as was pretty much everyone in Odense. What a quaint, lovely city!"
Denmark`s process is efficient—but it`s never cold. The registrars care. The town halls have charm. And couples leave with something truly special, not just a signed certificate.
