How did you get into the floristry and design industry?
Linda worked in a theatre in Berlin as a stage builder assistant. The stage builders specialised in floral installations on stage.
What inspires your designs?
We use seasonal flowers and greens which poses a challenge in the colder month. We are inspired by the challenges of all seasons here on our island, the unique flora and fauna and the histories of the wedding couples that are getting married here.
What are your favourite flowers?
We love all shapes and sizes of plants, we love the different shades of greens, we love wildflowers, herbs and use what is seasonally and locally growing on the island. If we should make a choice, Dahlia, Nigella and Queen Ann´s lace are definitely one of the favourites.
What is your favourite part about the work you do?
Making the flower decorations match the people, the occasion and location and enhancing the beauty that is already there.
Every day is different and this makes it so exciting
What makes the perfect wedding flowers?
That it fits the character of the wedding couple and it is custom made every time.
What is the most important thing your work has taught you?
There’s always a solution to any problem.
What advice would you give to couples ordering wedding flowers?
Share your wishes no matter how special they are. We will find a way to bring it to life.
What do you like to do when you’re not working with flowers?
We are having a permaculture garden, we love art and horse back riding and camp fires with our friends.
