Describe your wedding photography style in less than 10 words.
Light loving, fun, and real moments + the moments in between.
How did you get into wedding photography?
After graduating business logistics and 3 unsuccessful job experiences in this field, I promised myself that I will work on my dreams without thinking about anything else. And that’s how I started to do photography on a more serious level.
What inspires you as a wedding photographer?
Warning: this may sound a bit too cheesy but my inspiration is my dear couples. Their unique stories, personalities, and their emotions when they see the result – that is what keeps me doing what I love.
What are you favourite types of places to shoot pictures of a couple?
I like a good combination of nature and colorful streets.
Which is your favourite picture of yourself and who took it?
Hmm, what a question. I have a lot of them but all of my favorite photos are completely unstaged (I love ‘being in the moment’ type of photos). The last coolest photo of me (and my sister) is from Tivoli Gardens amusement park in the rollercoaster (those photos which automatically the system is taking of everyone in the rollercoaster at the craziest moment.) Oh, if you would see our faces. ?
What tricks do you use to help nervous couples relax for their pictures?
I have some tricks but I can’t tell them because then my couples will lose a lot of fun moments if I reveal it to you… That’s a part of the experience. Let’s just say it’s a mix of humor, jokes, and small exercises. ?
What do you feel are the key things that make the perfect wedding portrait?
It is not about the right angle, colors, it is not even about the light or composition. A perfect wedding photo makes you feel passion, something just clicks. Unconditional love, the connection. If I see it from one shot, it is a perfect photo to me!
What is your dream location for a wedding shoot?
Iceland, Greenland, Italy, Spain, Canada, USA, Mexico, Germany, Portugal, The Faroe Islands, ok, as you can feel, I am ready to travel. ?
What do you like to do when you’re not working on photography?
When is that? ? Ok, ok, sometimes I am also not working. I love going to farmer markets, meeting friends, exploring Copenhagen, swimming – yes, even in winter. My goal for 2022 is to practice kitesurfing, then I will spend a lot of time doing that. I don’t know why, but I am pretty sure that I will love it.
What is the most important advice you would give to your younger self just starting out it photography?
Just do it!
