Describe your wedding photography style in less than 10 words.
I’m a wedding photographer with a happy, natural, romantic, candid and relaxed style. My style of wedding photography suits people who just want to get on with enjoying their day.
How did you get into wedding photography?
My father is a photographer so I followed in his footsteps. In 2008 my friends were getting married, so they asked me to shoot their wedding. This is how it started. ?
What inspires you as a wedding photographer?
My wedding couples from different countries, their own unique story and personality inspire me the most. I also get a lot of inspiration from films, music and places I visit.
What are you favourite types of places to shoot pictures of a couple?
Denmark really offers many opportunities. It’s possible to choose any of the locations and I love all of them: colorful streets, canals, castles, beaches, parks. I particularly appreciate the urban architecture and colors in Copenhagen.
I love the Danish countryside like the Old Church at Stevns Klint with a rocky beach.
Which is your favourite picture of yourself and who took it?
It’s a selfie with my 93 years old grandma. I visit her a couple of times a year because we live in different countries.
What tricks do you use to help nervous couples relax for their pictures?
Never say you’re not good in front of a camera, until you’ve had a photo session. You might not realize just how easy and fun it is.
I have many movement directions that will make you feel comfortable. Wedding photography can be a really fun process. ?
What do you feel are the key things that make the perfect wedding portrait?
Sometimes it’s unplanned and unexpected moments of joy, an overflow of emotions. I give my couples permission to be whoever they are and show their love in a way that doesn’t make them uncomfortable.
What is your dream location for a wedding shoot?
While there’s still so many places in Denmark I want to shoot in, my dream location is probably somewhere in Italy.
What do you like to do when you’re not working on photography?
I love being outside, biking, spending time by the water: stand up paddling or snorkeling in the summer. I love ice skating in the winter.
What is the most important advice you would give to your younger self just starting out it photography?
Trust the process. Things take time.
