Describe your wedding photography style in less than 10 words.
Storytelling, Heartfelt, Natural, Intimate, Timeless
How did you get into wedding photography?
I began my journey as a resort photographer in Mauritius, where I learned everything about photography and developed a passion for capturing memories. It was there that I first ventured into wedding photography, documenting beautiful destination weddings and intimate beach elopements against breathtaking tropical backdrops. 6 years later, life brought me to Copenhagen, where I’ve embraced a whole new setting. Now, I find joy in documenting city elopements, blending urban charm with heartfelt love stories. Each step of this journey has shaped me into the photographer I am today, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
What inspires you as a wedding photographer?
The people that I photograph. I meet so many different couples, from all over the world. Everyone is different and getting to know them and witnessing their love for each other, for me, it’s the most inspiring and best way to fuel my creativity.
What are you favourite types of places to shoot pictures of a couple?
Copenhagen has so many charming spots, but one of my absolute favorites is Magstræde. With its cobblestone streets and colorful, historic houses, it feels timeless. Whether it’s sunny, raining, or even snowing, this location always adds a touch of magic to any shoot.
Which is your favourite picture of yourself and who took it?
One of my favorite pictures of myself was taken by my wife during a trip to Bornholm. We were on a beach, taking pictures of each other and selfies, and she managed to capture one that I absolutely love. (As a photographer, I am very picky!)
What tricks do you use to help nervous couples relax for their pictures?
I start by giving couples space to feel comfortable, often photographing them from afar while they take a walk or interact naturally. Once I get closer, I’ll break the ice with a few jokes to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Laughter always helps ease nerves and brings out genuine expressions.
What do you feel are the key things that make the perfect wedding portrait?
The 2 essential ingredients for the perfect wedding portrait are love and laughter. When these shine through, everything else falls into place.
What is your dream location for a wedding shoot?
An old vineyard manor. There’s something so timeless and romantic about the charm of vineyards paired with historic architecture—it’s the perfect blend of elegance and nature.
What do you like to do when you’re not working on photography?
I am either playing board games with the wifey or playing basketball.
What is the most important advice you would give to your younger self just starting out it photography?
Dream big and follow your heart.
