How did you get into wedding photography?
I started photography by taking photos of families and then one day I had the opportunity to photograph a little wedding ceremony and I caught myself on the thought that the couple will keep these photos forever and how important my work was. I just imagen how they look in their wedding album in 30 years and how they tell about it to their kids, it just meltes my heart. I have photographed so many couples but I still have the same feelings.
What inspires you as a wedding photographer?
My couples, their emotions, sincere smiles, and happy tears on the wedding day.
What are you favourite types of places to shoot pictures of a couple?
Nature but at the same time, I love the cuteness and coziness of Danish cities.
Which is your favourite picture of yourself and who took it?
I love when my husband takes photos of me and I look happy and natural with a big smile.
What tricks do you use to help nervous couples relax for their pictures?
Before I even take my camera out, I give my clients a pre-talk and I try to get to know what couple they are, shy and romantic or more like skydiving ones:) I encourage them to focus on each other and I put their nerves at ease by telling them I’m here to direct and pose them so they don’t look awkward, but that their chemistry is what makes the photos pop. I let them know it’s natural to feel awkward at first. The trick is to keep joking and laughing with them the whole time.
What do you feel are the key things that make the perfect wedding portrait?
Couples’ feelings, when they are full in love and enjoying their special day, just happy to be together is the key and I will take care of the rest.
What is your dream location for a wedding shoot?
I would love to shoot a wedding in Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greate Britain, and Scotland.
What do you like to do when you’re not working on photography?
I love hiking, every vacation with my husband we travel to a country with mountains, sleep in a tent, go hiking or climbing, and just enjoy the beautiful nature.
What is the most important advice you would give to your younger self just starting out it photography?
Don’t overthink and just believe in yourself.
