We had an amazing experience with Getting Married in Denmark (GMiD)! At first, we were skeptical—especially with all the glowing reviews —wondering if they were really legit and as good as they seemed. We also questioned whether an agency was necessary since it’s possible to apply to the AFL on your own of course. However, any small mistake can cause delays of currently at least six months, and GMiD made all the difference in ensuring everything went smoothly.

Only thanks to them were we able to get married within two (!!!) weeks. Their communication was always friendly, helpful, and incredibly quick - even before actually hiring them. Even though we were well-prepared, they caught small mistakes in our documents that could have caused delays, and their experience helped answer questions we hadn’t found answers for elsewhere. Our application was approved after 4 work days.

Their collaboration with Danish Island Weddings not only made our wedding possible so quickly but also ensured it was truly special, with a beautiful location on Ærø and a private registrar. Louise from Danish Island Weddings was absolutely lovely. On top of that, GMiD's recommendations for local vendors were incredibly helpful—including a discount on photographers booked through them. For (binational) couples who want to get married, GMiD is especially invaluable. Their expertise makes the process simple, fast, and stress-free. We had no problems getting our marriage registered in the German system either. We can’t recommend them enough and are very thankful for their work and help!
