I have always loved baking and eating cake ever since I was a little girl. So when I had to decide what to do with my life after highschool it wasn’t surprising that I chose culinary school. Soon after I moved to Australia to start working as a pastry chef and have worked at some of Melbournes best restaurants and pastry shops.
Everything really. From colours to textures, paintings, design and architecture.
I started baking at a very young age in our home kitchen, loving the whole process of it. I mostly baked this favourite chocolate cake of mine with coconut topping, it was the best!
I ask them a few questions to figure out what their style is like, what colours they like and what sort of venue they are getting married at. Japan. I wanted to go for so long now, but haven’t made it yet. I’ve heard so many amazing things about their cakes and desserts.
Eating, exploring, travelling. I love seeing new places and trying new things, it keeps me inspired.
If you want to specialise in a certain area do it from the beginning. I loved my first job I had as a cake decorator and I wish my younger self would have dived into that area straight away, as I always knew I wanted to work in the wedding cake industry.
