I’ve had summer bridal style more and more on my mind recently. That’s most likely because winter edge’s away and occasionally gives me a peek in to what summer has to bring. This week has been Paris fashion week and what a week it was! So inspirational! Later this week we have a french themed weekend and to get you in the mood, I’ve put together this french inspired style board for you. This style is perfect for someone having a Mediterranean styled or destination wedding.
The other day I found these amazing point toe flats from Rochas I adore them, I was smitten as soon as I saw them and I built the whole style guide around these shoes! They’re a pair that could go with so many different styles but I wanted to find a chic, almost vintage style to suit. Although I think they would also be great with a boho styled bride. Maybe something for the next guide but for now, I found this beautifully chic number from Lanvin, the grosgrain-trimmed-piqué dress. It’s simple, it’s sophisticated, you could easily wear this outfit to a boat party on the French Riviara, the no heels rule is no matter when you have flats as beautiful as these!
Now lets talk a little about Luxury The 18 carrot cuff that is my style guide is named Love between the Shadow & Soul from House of Warris Rare. Designed by Waris Ahluwalia himself, it’s handmade in New York and is inspired by a line from Pablo Neruda’s Sonnet XVII. This will cost you an incredible €35,000 but it’s also stunning, and RARE, since there are only 10 of them in the world!
Dolce & Gabbana’s ‘Ava’ Clutch bag adds that spark of glamour to your outfit with it’s glistening embellishments, golds and rose tones, it’s romantic and glowing!
Talking of glowing, that is exactly what you want your skin to be doing. Be honest with yourself and ask, what will I actually be doing on the run up to my wedding day? Will you be drinking vegetable smoothies, rubbing fresh avocado in to your face and going to bed at 8 every evening to be absolutely sure you’ll get your 10 hours of beauty sleep? If you’re wonderfully lucky and well organised, yes, but most likely no. Very likely you’ll be busy needlessly still agonizing over whether you did the right thing by seating Vicky next to Tom or spending your evenings eating and drinking with relatives and friends who might have travelled over for your wedding. Or, if you’re anything like me, simply not able to sleep because you’re so very excited. Nothing can replace good sleep and eating good-for-you food, I advise you do as much of it as you can. It’s great, though, to have those little pick me ups to hydrate your skin, when you need it. Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream is famed for its ability to transform dehydrated and hungover complexions. It brightens dull skin and has been regularly used backstage. Use this for those special occasions on the run up to your wedding and morning of your wedding, it’s going to make you feel as bright as a star.
