Spring 2014 in the will be the season of princess’s, kings and queens. Reem Acra has forseen this and created this beautiful collection that we’re so happy to share with you today. The designer has made the shape of the body the focal point here with more structured creations that mold to the body and compliment the feminine aspects of a bride whilst maintaining light and free.
This season there are soft, seductive undertones amongst the cascading skirts of chiffon and organza, and the glow of glamour sparkles through hand embroidered detailing of crystals and pearls.
I love this collection and although I’m usually a big fan of less structured and understated dresses, I’m feeling in a decadent mood today. I’m a huge fan of ornamental ironwork. I really love the intricate and beautiful patterns that can be found on historical works around Europe and the fact that you can look through them to a visual space beyond. This dress, really gives me that same feeling with the embroidered work on the ‘invisible’ tulle. It’s extravagant in such a pleasing way.
