The Jenny Packham 2015 runway show was shimmering and captivating. This years collection is inspired by the photographs of society photographer, Madam Yevonde. In her work, a series of stylized portraits of society ladies in classical costumes, titled ‘The Goddesses’ Where mythical heroines are captured in ethereal scenery surrounded by soft and romantic tones of blush and hazy ambiance.
An ancient world of antiquity, within a modern and hauntingly beautiful treatment.
We’re also very excited to see plus size models in this event, showing that this collection holds something for every modern day and fashion conscious woman. Jenny Packhams focus remains on creating stunning designs that can flatter and beautify every shape and we see the most elegant and feminine silhouettes in her work.
Champaigns, buttermilks and blush were all tones that were seen in the collection against the blue sky backdrop. Beautiful veils and french lace with the signiture beading and vintage metallics all reminiscent of a decedent past.
It has to be this most glamorous design of the whole collection. I really love the way Jenny Packham crafts with silks and this caramel silk chiffon design is utterly luxurious and definitely something I would want to see on a mythical heroine!
