It’s been so sunny here in Copenhagen the past few weeks and I’ve been making the most of it and spending a lot of time out of the city and deep in the country amongst all the bright and baby green foliage of the spring nature. It’s really inspired me to get in to that summer mood and start thinking about country wedding decoration.
To start with I’ve created a board with inspiration from distressed vintage wood, burlaps, lace and flower prints with white backgrounds, all the things that can be put together to create a chic and rustic look. Mixed with a divine gown, elegant jewelry and beautifully illustrated labels and monograms, it can really polish the look off to finish with stunning effect.

The use of mix match flowers of all different shapes and sizes are great for the eclectic summer look. And again the different prints really add to the style. I really adore flower prints against white backgrounds for this look, I think it’s clean and sweet but other paler colours would work well too, such a baby blues or mints.
Fresh and zingy homemade drinks with garden herbs always win at garden and country parties. The mix of colours look great and guests appreciate the cool mixtures of different summer tastes. You can’t go wrong with plenty of fresh fruits as part of creamy desserts too.
You can really tweak this style to suit you. Add more burlaps, darker distressed woods and darker napkins to create a more rustic look, or add brighter materials like crisp white napkins, center pieces and brighter flowers to create a more elegant, neater look. Always add a little nature in the form of flowers, moss or wood. It’s wonderful and authentic within your decoration.
