A smooth and glowy look with details added to each personality.
In an early age I was very fascinated by the way hair and makeup can change ones look on a day to day basis. On that note , I now see my self as a hair- and makeup artist having been in the industry for 20 years, still loving every bit of it. During these years I have always been determined to keep on improving techniques within every area of styling. Whether a photoshoot, Copenhagen fashion week or with my Brides ; Everyone is equal important , and everyone deserves to having their dreams come true..
What inspires me the most is what ever comes my way. It may be an inspirational conversation with colleagues , the way someone on the street present themselves, a picture on the social media , courses with Wella, or simply looking back at my looks during the years.
I absolutely love the consultation where I get to know the bride. To find out which dress she picked, which shoes she chose, what type of wedding they have arranged , and figuring out how to combine all of these answers with the perfect way of doing their hair and makeup, and thereby fulfilling their every dream. Simply making every ends meet.
As a youngster I actually never wore makeup, as I was a soccer girl covered in grass. But growing up, I noticed what kind of miracles makeup can do, and how much effort you have to put in becoming a professional hair – and makeup artist. That triggered me.
Humour and honesty is very important. For me it is key that we get to know each other, and that we have fun with all of the preparations for the look. During the first conversation with the bride we go through an entire tjek-list, so that every insecurity concerning the look is well talked through. Until we meet on the wedding day we also keep in touch so that I can make the bride feel comfortable and relaxed.
When everything about the look adds up. The hair and makeup has to match the type of wedding, personality of the bride and the features of the dress.
I have been traveling around the world for the last 20 years, and I love visiting new places and different cultures. Someday in the future, I would love to go to the Carneval in Rio De janero. I am so inspired by the colorful energy.
I also do hair and makeup at a salon, fashion shows, photoshoots and teach upcoming hairdressers . In my spare time , I have fun with my kids, friends and family.
Be true to your self and find your own way in the industry. Yes, you will see a thousand different ways of doing things, but if it doesn’t work you for you, then you have to do it your way and be confident that you will make it out there.:-)
